The damp shadow of a wave on the rising tide can be seen against an embedded rock. Water washes rock and wears to sand over immeasurable time. Floating horizontally from the side bar this image becomes a flag of time passing.

Part of artist-in-residence project at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery in Launceston, Tasmania (1996, 1998) and exhibited in the resulting solo exhibition, Fragility & Endurance, at the Gallery in December 2000 —.February 2001.
