Scattered pebbles evoke the age-old instinct to fossick. Remnants of stone implements and a hearthstone circle prompt the imagination to thoughts of ancient times and cultures. The circle can symbolise a gathering of elders and the scattered stones the people they lead.

Part of artist-in-residence program at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery in Launceston, Tasmania (1996, 1998) and exhibited in resulting solo exhibition, Fragility & Endurance, at the Gallery in December 2000 — February 2001.
