Private collection, Australia One
giant tree stump in the ground, felled by broad axe. Another, the butts
of its roots still hugging the rock it formed around, nudged into place
by bulldozer leaving scars on its shortened trunk. Between them a boulder,
waist high and covered in ages of moss and lichen. Here they sit as a
posed study — stilled giants at rest. |
